The trainers in Pocket Mortys are Ricky, and you play as one of them. Your goal is to assemble a powerful army of good and different Mortys, send them into battles with other creatures, win and in the end, prove who’s the daddy here. There are a total of 52 species of pokeMorty that you can gather into your party, of all tastes, and from all dimensions. There are Morty the fish, Morty the ghost, Morty the eyeless Morty – and on and on. All of the Morties you meet in the game must be lured to your side with a mind-controlling chip.
The plot is based on the fact that there are thousands of Reeks from different dimensions in the universe, each with their own Morty. The Reeks’ influence is determined by how large their collection of Morty is. The Council of Elders is threatening to take away your Rick’s portal cannon because he’s not cool enough as a trainer. So either make sure your Morties are the strongest or “you’re the weakest link, goodbye” (c).
